Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I am ashamed to say that it has been far too long since my last outfit post, but the festive season has come and gone, bringing with it weeks of hard work and intensive shopping. As you can see from the post, my Christmas was full of cheer especially when I unwrapped (that's right it was fully wrapped) my new bike! From the moment I locked eyes I was madly in love. So equipped with my Zimmermann soft tee, new Wrangler shorts and pony hair Tony Biancos I set off for my first ride today. I must also make mention to my gorgeous gold cuff bought from a small boutique.
Hope you enjoyed your Christmas, wherever you may be! And may you ring in the New Year with style <3

Outfit post soon to come, but in the mean time...

I have been eyeing off some of the pieces in Ellery's new Resort'12 collection. And came across this cute Christmas themed pic from them. Not long until the big day now!

Market Day

For all those in Adelaide avid of all things fashion, Gilles St Markets is a hot spot on the third Sunday of every month. Located at a primary school, budding young designers and collectors of all things vintage come out to play. As well as a number of one off stalls where groups sell their own, sometimes unworn, pieces. Each market day promises something new. And even if food tickles your fancy more than fashion, there are some cute pop up food stalls with some very talented people waiting to take your order. If you, like me, are not prepared to pay $8 for a sandwich, perhaps eating before you step out the door is wise. This market day again provided the goods, I went home with a skirt by label Keepsake, for a tiny $10. The stitching had come apart on the seam, but this is nothing a quick repair won't fix. Stay tuned folks!

Dear Diary...

2013 will be the year I finally get organised! (If the whole 21/12/12 doomsday prophecy thing doesn't play out.)I have purchased myself a diary. And what better way to motivate me to actually use it, than to buy the cutest diary I could find? I found this online through Little Paper Lane who specialise in all things cute and practical. When I wear my larger bags I plan to have the diary with me, as well as some of the usual things that call my bag home. My sunglasses are a must have, they are Ray Ban but not the typical Wayfarer style. And they are polarised, so fantastic for an Aussie summer. My Inglot lipstick also makes a regular appearance. And soon to hopefully be joining them; a Marc Jacobs wallet, on my Chrissy list!

Story of a Long Lost Dress

This floaty number has been floating around in my wardrobe, unworn, for too long. I purchased it over a year ago at a steal from an outlet store. It's a flirty, fresh dress in a gorgeous mix of apricot, light orange and beige coloured stripes in alternating fabrics. Perfect for a balmy nights pre Christmas dinner, I'm glad I finally gave this sweet dress a night out after it almost made my Ebay selling list.
The dress is by label Ladakh (but a few seasons old now) and you've seen the shoes (Tony Bianco) and the clutch (Kookai) in previous posts. As you can see I like to keep my accessories quite minimal. But I hereby make my New Years resolution to find some quirky jewellery to share with you all. (Now that's a New Years resolution I'm sure I'll be able to keep!)

Marl and Me

I'm sure every Aussie girl who has ever travelled to Europe can understand the feeling you get on your first shopping expedition when you step into Zara for the first time. Glamourous and oh so full of fashionable and above all affordable clothes, it's hard to know where to look first. I was unaware on that first, fateful shopping trip that I needn't be so thorough, digging through every single rack of clothing. I swear we saw at least 2 Zara stores in virtually every city we stopped by! But it was on the last leg of my European adventure (in Spain) that I bit the bullet and purchased these boyfriend style jeans I had wanted for so long. It was well worth the trouble having to stuff them into my already overflowing suitcase. They look great paired with a sloppy tank (Marl being my hue of choice) and a cute pair of heels. These Maurie and Eve heels I picked up at a sale for a mere $20. (I am still under the impression that they were incorrectly tagged). Not wanting to step out of the house without a hint of colour, a dark pink lip seals the deal on this casual outfit.

Skin

I promised myself once I was content with my attempt at a 'bikini bod' I would treat myself to some new bikinis. Alas, I fell in love with these Zimmermann bikinis pre bikini bod and with only one pair left in my size I took the plunge. As you can see they are nothing extravagant especially in terms of Zimmermann's swimwear but I was set on a pair with greater bust support and I love the subtle snake skin print. The bottoms are quite skimpy and not something I'd usually wear, but if anything it's greater motivation to get my little (or should I say big) butt to the gym pronto.

Summer Soiree

Hello all! In the spirit of giving, I give you a compilation of a few of my favourite fashion buys. This darling dress is by one of my favourite Aussie labels, Shakuhachi. Weird name, amazing designs and this little yellow dress is no exception. Jeffrey Campbell has totally en captured me (see skulltini post) and I have a feeling these babies will soon be in my wardrobe. But a top of my Christmas list (other than a new bike) is some fine Samantha Wills jewellery to layer together. Love, love, love this bracelet! New outfit post to come very soon! xo

Crazy Pants

The weather today has faired cooler than the past couple hot and humid days. But I figure that any excuse is good enough to don my favourite pair of crazy, colourful, printed pants. This beauty is by Alice McCalls label, House of Wilde. They are high waisted (great for us short people) and super comfortable, with a bit of stretch in them. Even though my parents howled of laughter when they first saw me in them (making some smart comment about being back in the 70's) I still love them and wear them all the time.
